Making Volunteering FUN!

Volunteering with SOILK is fun and easy. You can join as an individual

or as a 3 person team. Teams are eligible to compete for weekly

and quarterly prizes!

Ways to Volunteer

A Non-Exhaustive List of Ways to Volunteer

Choose One of or More of These or Create Your Own Opportunities

  1. Serve at a Food Bank or Soup Kitchen

    Help distribute meals or pack food boxes for families in need

  2. Mentor or Tutor Students

    Support young learners by helping with homework or offering guidance on personal development.

  3. Participate in Community Cleanups

    Join groups that clean parks, streets, beaches, or other public spaces.

  4. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter

    Assist with pet care, cleaning, or adoption events.

  5. Support Senior Citizens

    Visit nursing homes, deliver meals, or assist with errands for the elderly.

  6. Join Habitat For Humanity

    Help build or renovate homes for families in need.

  7. Assist at Hospitals or Healthcare Facilities

    Provide comfort to patients, deliver meals, or help with administrative tasks.

  8. Coach Youth Sports Teams

    Share your skills and encourage teamwork and sportsmanship.

  9. Be a Big Brother or Big Sister

    Build a lasting relationship with a child in need of mentorship.

  10. Donate Blood or Organize a Blood Drive

    Help save lives by contributing or coordinating donations.

  11. Teach Financial Literacy

    Offer workshops or one-on-one sessions on budgeting, saving, and investing.

  12. Help at Libraries

    Organize books, assist with events, or offer tech help for community members.

  13. Support Local Theaters or Arts Organizations

    Assist with events, promotions, or behind-the-scenes activities.

  14. Offer Professional Skills Pro Bono

    Use your expertise (legal, marketing, accounting, etc.) to help nonprofits or community groups.

  15. Volunteer with Disaster Relief Organizations

    Assist in response efforts, such as distributing supplies or raising funds.

  16. Engage in Advocacy Work

    Write letters, sign petitions, or join campaigns to support causes you care about.

  17. Organize or Join Clothing Drives

    Collect, sort, and distribute clothing to those in need.

  18. Become a Foster Parent for Pets

    Provide temporary care for animals awaiting adoption.

  19. Support Educational Outreach Programs

    Help with STEM workshops, literacy programs, or college prep for underserved communities.
